Book review: Real Moms Love to Eat

While reading my email from SocialMoms.com I came across a opportunity to review a cook book call Real Moms Love to Eat , How to Conduct a Love Affair with Food and Still Look Fabulous by Beth Aldrich with Eve Adamson.  Beth is a Healthy Lifestyle and Nutrition expert,  speaker, media personality, and she cracks me up!

Now for my friends reading this, yes I’m writing a review for a cookbook.  And yes I’m going to actually cook some of the recipes in the book (I will have pics up soon lol)  Now back to the review.

The essence of this cookbook that Beth wrote is about loving food and making  lifestyle changes.  And if you can have a laugh or two all the better.

This cookbook is broke down into three sections: Flirting with Foods, Getting Serious, and Happy Endings (this sections has recipes).

“For dinner every night, make sure your meal contains two naturally green things, one naturally red thing, and one naturally yellow thing.
(No, a bag of Skittles doesn’t count.)”

This book is different because Beth is having a conversation with all us Moms who struggle with issues surrounding food.  She allows the reader to get over their issues with some real life strategies and  21 days of meal suggestion that you wont have you going to a specialty store to make your purchases.

For example, one of the suggestion is to makeover salt, fat and sugar.  Their replacements: gourmet salts, canola oil and the occasional pat of organic butter.

“Real Moms can eat salt, fat, and sugar. You don’t have to ditch your dysfunctional friends. You just have to limit your exposure to them—or better yet, give them a makeover.”

Beth Aldrich’s Real Moms Love To Eat is a girls second best friend (diamonds will ALWAYS be first lol).  Her cookbook is about living clean and loving food.  Just as much as well love ourselves and our families.

Thank you Beth for allowing me to read your cookbook and I will let you know about the changes that I make in my own household.
