The past few days I was down in Los Angeles for #ENMNCon15, a training conference for bloggers in the entertainment and travel arenas to become better at what they do. Lemme tell you about what happened. Entertainment New Media Network, producer of the conference is owned by Erica Pena Vest (and is my boss) and this was our second year holding this conference.

The day before…
I arrived in LA the day before to handle some last minute things with Erica cause you know there is always something that is left to do. We got settled into our room at the Holiday Inn Express North Hollywood (thanks for everything!) cause we had several big days to come.
Its our first official day of the conference and we started it by hitting the road and heading to KOA Ventura County. Now lemme explain….I’m not a camper. I haven’t been to a camp ground in over 20 years but I’m a team player so I’m on the bus. We got to know each other, laugh, talk and of course, there were pictures…
Upon our arrival at KOA, we got a chance to sit by a beautiful pool (I should have brought a suit to take a lounge with my feet in the water) as we listened to what was gonna happen that day.
It was then time to check out the cabins and they had everything from tepees to what they call the penthouses of cabins. Yeah that penthouse saying…yeah you will have to take a look at the video and lemme know what you think. First up the deluxe cabins…
Right?!?!?!? They had AC which made these the hangout spot during our trip because it was close to 100 degrees during our trip. Yeah the weather was just disrespectful! LOL
It was then time for lunch and our first panel of the conference. The panel entitled “Up, Up, And Away: How to Fly Into a Career in Travel Blogging” was moderated by Erica.
It was a great way to learn how to work with the visitors bureau and why they expect when working with bloggers. They gave us tips on how to get noticed by a PR folks who see lots of pitches daily. It was good to get some of the inside scoop. After the panel and the ride back to the hotel, we had a few hours before we attend the signature event of the conference, the PJ party. This year, it was held at Dave and Busters right over the Hollywood Walk of Fame (well a section of it). I took this shot from the window. Hollywood looks beautiful at night.

Genevieve Goings AKA Ms. Choo Choo Soul. Singing: “All aboard the choo choo train. All aboard the choo choo train. All aboard the choo choo train. All aboard, all aboard”
Shes a friend to the Network (Hey Jenn! *waves*) and she gave us lessons on how to get camera ready in 10 mins.
We then got to screen a couple of shows from the FOX Network…Grandfathered staring John Stamos (swoon) and The Grinder with Rob Lowe. They were both really funny but I think I like Grandfathered a little bit more. Its the story of a 50something bachelor whose single and family less one minute and finds out that he as a son and grand daughter the next. Shenanigans are soon to be had LOL Take a look at them both and lemme know what you think.
Welp, that’s the end of day 1. Will be back in a bit with what happend on day 2
