Well its that time of year again. Time for the kids to go back to school and with that, they need their immunizations.
I remember when my daughter was younger and that this usually required a trip to the doctors office. You had to call to make and appointment and pray that the office wasn’t crowded when you arrived so I would normally call two months in advance.
And now, your don’t have to do that anymore. Did you know that you could get your child’s required vaccines at
The best thing that I have noticed about getting your child’s shots at Walgreens include
• Walgreens makes it quick and easy – no appointment needed (this will save you time)
• Most Insurance Accepted
• Walgreens pharmacists will report back to your primary care physician (and this is great! You still want to make sure your child’s doctor is involved in the process)
Have you talked to your child about their fear of getting shots? I remember hold my daughters hand, looking her in the eyes and telling her how proud I was of her. How she was my big girl. And it works with my grandkids now lol
But the best part of getting your child’s shots at Walgreen’s – their Get a Shot. Give a Shot® campaign
In conjunction with United Nation Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign, when your child gets their shots at Walgreen’s, including whooping cough and meningitis, you give a child in a developing country a shot as well. Yay!
Save yourself some time while taking care of your child and a child in our collective larger neighborhood.

So last week, while I was at #Blogher14 Expo, I ran across this booth that had some really pretty women and it was pink and cute so I went over. It was called Hairfinity and I had never heard of this product before. Its a vitamin supplement that works to grow hair…I was like really?!? Uhmmm ok.
I was given a bottle for stopping by the booth and I kinda forgot about it. A blogger friend of mine is using it for 60 days and that’s when I remembered that I have a bottle of my own. I did a quick video showing my current hair length as well as a pic that I took last month showing my hair after I washed it in July.
So I decided that I would try out the product for a couple of months and I will keep you all posted. Check out the video

Sometimes I dislike summer and its mostly because that my skin dries out soooooooooo much. And even with that, I have events where I have to give good face. And it all starts with some good looking skin. So I head off to one of my favorite places to shop…
Yup Walgreens. Across the street from my place and filled with just about all of my needs from beauty to water to lunch LOL
After walking down the aisles, one package caught my eye and it was the Olay Fresh Effects.
Here’s a closer look at the package
Now I have seen the commercials on tv and had made a mental note to get when I head over to Walgreens. So I made my purchase and brought it home. Here’s what it looks like outta the box
The skin cleaner comes with a battery already so basically its ready to go once you open the box. The cleanser that comes with it is made for oily skin. I have combination skin but it worked well for me as well. What you do is wet your face and with wet fingers, apply the cleaner (be careful around your eyes. Ring fingers only). Then turn on scrubber and work it around your face to remove the impurities. Afterwards, add your favorite moisturizer and then go about your day.
And as always, you can get the latest from Olay by following them on
