Im back on the WL wagon
I have fallen off…again lol
It reminds me of a gospel song by Donnie McClurkin called “We Fall Down” its a great song. Check it out
So I got back up and got the hell out. I left my apt and went for a walk around Lake Merritt. It was a beautiful afternoon and me and the Justin Timberlake channel on Pandora on my phone and off I went.
71 mins and 3 miles later I felt pretty good. A warm shower and a lil dinner and I decided that I needed to write.
Just the other day while going thru my email, I found out that I won a chance to work with a weight loss coach from England named Peter Cohn. He runs a site called Weight Loss Guru and I will also be blogging about my experiences in working with him and my own journey. There is also a button on the right side of this blog that will share with you guys how much I have lost.
How many of you guys are on this journey? Hows things going for you?
Oh and Im on My Fitness Pal as msoakland so if your on that site lemme know and become my friend. Imma need all the help I can get lol
Time to get it in..
OK so I have been on and off the wagon. Time and time again. And I have promised myself that I would get it done. And its time to stop making excuses.
Its time….
….to drop about 50 pounds.
Yeah I’m tired but I’m not going to beat myself up about it like I have in the past. Me and my weight ain’t never really been cool we just tolerated each other. *shrug*
In my head I have made a conscience decision to watch what I eat. Nothing to heavy late at night. Not eating past 8pm. Drinking lots of water, etc. But the exercise part, that is where my sticking part is.
I have walked a lot more and that’s because I have been in school and didn’t have a choice. Five days a week for the past seven weeks with books and all. Now I’m making sure that I get in 30 mins of something every day and I think that it will be more walking. Where I live, there is a park and with the weather being nice I really don’t have an excuse.
So here is my plan:
30 mins of something everyday
Keep up my eating and adding more healthy and low fat foods
And to keep myself accountable I am a member of a group on Facebook called MAYO is Evil and Ranch is the devil (Yup thats the name lol) It was started by a sista friend named Kenna who lost over 100 lbs all on her own, no surgery, just changing her diet and working out (Yeah she ROCKS!). I invite you to join us if you need a lil more motivation.

Ok so back at the ranch…
Ok so lemme see. Its early March and I have to get back in the swing of things.
I have slipped in my WL and have gotten back on track. What I have done is scheduled 30 mins or something everyday. Either WATP or something but I have to do something. Even if I get a workout vid from Netflix or something.
Business is picking up but I’m still looking for clients for my virtual assistant business. Right now, I’m what’s know as a “generalist” meaning that I can handle make administrative assistant tasks but I can also design and oversee businesses Facebook fan pages and soon, will be a Virtual Event Specialist. Yep is gonna be fun!
Well I think that we are up to date. For now.

Meanwhile at the WW meeting…
My meeting leader, Ann, said something today that kinda struck me….
“Eat with dignity”
Huh? Of course I eat with dignity. I dont burp at the table, dont talk with my mouth full, dont blow my noise at the table. What is she talking about?
Then I got a clue.
The eat with dignity come from setting a place at the table with all the grandure that comes from a sit down dinner. No have the distraction of a tv in front of you and relax and really take your time with your meal.
Hummm, Imma have to try that one day lol but thats not my issue. My issues is not moving my butt like I need to.
So I have come up with a new agenda. Out of my 40 years on this earth I have learned somethings about me. The big one is …. if it aint on my calendar, it aint happening.
So from now on this is what my mornings look like:
6 – 6:30 Do 30 mins of some form of workout. My fav: walk away the pounds
6:30 – 7 Eat with dignity
Then focus on the rest of my day. Also start blogging more. Once a day is good enough to keep track.
Well I need to get ready for the e waste people. Keeping green and all that.
